C63 AMG Affalterbach (Aufrecht Melcher Großaspach:AMG)

Great News For Canada.

Dieter Zetsche has done it again and our neighbours down south must be green with envy. After having sanctioned the unique dome shaped well crafted hood on the M Class only peculiar to Canada, he awards Mercedes-Benz Canada with a special limited-run edition of the vehicle affectionately dubbed the C63 AMG Affalterbach Edition, only to be found in Canada. The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is arguably in a class of its own. Keiich calls it a beast on wheels. He goes further to say that the sheer specs of the vehicle make it worthy of the Affalterbach name, which is of course the name of the city within which Mercedes-AMG has its headquarters.

The AMG P31 Development Package (worth over $6,000) comes standard instead of optional. That’s 481 hp plus 443 lb.-ft. of torque right there. It will take the vehicle 4.4 seconds to go from 0-62 mph (0-100 kph). The Affalterbach Edition gets carbon-fiber mirror shells, a new lip spoiler and a set of black alloy 19-inchers as shown below. Interior features include AMG sport edition seats with Nappa leather, red stitching, special-edition logos and carbon-fiber trim.

This C63 AMG Affalterbach was unveiled at the Montreal Auto Show last week.

Only 30 units of this special-edition C63 AMG will be made available in Canada, and prices start from $81,500 Canadian dollars (a shade under $82,400) once the Affalterbach Edition starts sales this spring.
