Well! Well! Roadside assistance can turn into a nightmare.
Judging by the calls I have been receiving of late, it appears like this problem is continuing to hound us at times when we least expect it.
7.3 million motorists in the USA were expected by AAA quoted by Reuters*, to be stranded by the roadside this summer (June to August). In Canada the numbers are much less , still no one would love to be stranded by the roadside in summer let alone in our kind of winters.
So, please note that Mercedes-Benz (MB) offers:
-24-hour roadside assistance during the basic warranty coverage of four years with a no limit on mileage.
-when a trip is interrupted and you are 80km from home a $500 hotel expenses and $600 alternate transport per incident is reimbursable.
A few tips that can keep you from being stranded on the roadside are a) timely service of your car b) make sure your car is serviced at a reputable MB service centre so that you are confident that they will use genuine MB spare parts. c) Check tire pressure before embarking on a long trip. d) Check your washer fluid level, brake fluid level and your dashboard information centre for any new information.
Bon Voyage!!!
